With her new line Cinq à Sept, Jane Siskin wants to extend the idea of occasional dressing to the everyday. She launched the collection for pre-fall with sexy, dressed-up clothes with a subtle bohemian flair. “We lean towards pretty, but also the idea that you can look so cool,” Siskin said during a preview. “We’re trying to capture that range.”
Each piece featured luxurious, considered details. For example, a belted, asymmetric pleated silk slipdress came with a sheer, embroidered bandeau layered underneath, and a Victorian-inspired embroidered turtleneck was styled with an oversize fox stole. Femininity prevailed — suiting came in tailored silk crepe with some pieces done in all-over micro-floral prints or trimmed with ruffled hemlines.
