Garance Broca had the models lie back and relax by way of backdrop for her spring 2017 collection under her Monsieur Lacenaire label. A lazy stroll through the Tuileries gardens was her starting point, informing the boat and chair motifs that punctuated the collection, whether as jacquard motifs on knitwear or repeat patterns on shirts, shorts and polos.
She collaborated with Belgian illustrator Brecht Evens, who created a watercolor summing up the collection, with certain details reproduced as washed out prints on denim shirts and gray sweatshirts. Blue and yellow check short pajamas also put in an appearance, enhancing the overall nostalgia and almost infantile charm of her proposition.
