Creative director Youn Chong Bak’s mix of primary colors with neutrals and high-end fabrics in this second collection for young Swiss label Essius, inspired by Le Corbusier’s Heidi Weber museum in Zurich, offered a crisp, fresh take on traditional tailoring.
Yellow and royal blue were spliced with white, cream and black on suits and knitwear on which the triangular shape of the museum’s architecture was a recurring theme. Particularly appealing was an unlined tuxedo jacket made with a mesh-type fabric blend that gave it a subtle twist, and a bomber jacket and matching pants created from a blue flecked suiting fabric with a ribbed leather collar and cuffs.
