Oliver Spencer looked to the modernist Italian villa Casa Malaparte, perched on the picturesque cliff side in Capri, for this clean and cool collection.
Its colors echoed the southern Italian coastline and the three-level red brick mansion, originally designed in 1937 by architect Adalberto Libera.
“I had the blue from the sea, while the villa is pink and yet red and changes and gets orange. And all of the greens came from the trees, so it was as simple as that,” the designer said.
Spencer added his man was “a bohemian traveling guy, an artist at heart who likes his textures and loves his colors.”
The designer’s polished range was cleaner this season, as he pared back his styling and focused more on minimalism.

He showed collarless jackets, crisp white shirts, cropped trousers and white slip-ons.
As a foil to the minimalism, Spencer experimented with prints, including pink-hued checked patterns on a jacket, shirt and trousers.
