Brunello Cucinelli’s luscious separates were so lightweight they practically levitated. Already built for a life of leisure, his collection had a particularly laid-back, sporty feel this season: Featherweight gray wool trousers had drawstring waists or cargo pockets, while jogging pants came in cashmere and cotton. Leather jackets were perforated, while cotton silk car coats came hand-finished and unconstructed.
Cucinelli even turned his evening wear down a notch, pairing dinner jackets with horizontal-pleat denim shirts and matching pocket squares. “The collection is about luxury, sporty chic and combining different pieces, formal and casual,” said the designer, who was decked in distressed denim jeans and a double-breasted jacket.
