This collection was all about texture, with a rich lineup of seersucker, hand-stitching from India — and a flock of ostrich skin accessories.
“I want people to touch the pieces and go ‘Wow, I want to own it,’” said head designer Thomas Harvey. “What we’re also doing is taking brand staples and modernizing them.” Presented in an all-white space filled with vases of wildflowers, the collection also featured pops of geometric print, as in a papercliplike pattern and abstract streaks like seagull wings on ties.
Among the highlights of the elegant lineup were a navy jacket with tone-on-tone wildflower blossoms stitched over it; printed linen suits, and an English mohair jacket with a barely-there V-shaped jacquard pattern scattered over it. In addition to all the cottons, linens and cashmeres, there were technical fabrics galore, including a filmy nylon blazer fit for rolling and stuffing into a suitcase, and a silk car coat with a smooth waterproof coating.
