The unsettled weather patterns in New York City were the driving force behind designer Daisuke Obana’s N.Hoolywood collection.
He made clothes for extreme conditions using mostly technical fabrics. The coats, which were the stars of the show, ranged from short down jackets and iridescent parkas that would have been appropriate for last week’s blizzard, to elongated bombers and leather jackets that are ideal for the current springlike weather.
The rest of the clothes were signature N.Hoolywood — minimal knits, graphic T-shirts and trousers with athletic undertones — but new to the assortment was a pair of pants plastered with the Reebok logo on the side. Obana has partnered with the brand on a 10-piece capsule collection that will be in stores this September.
