Set amidst a makeshift wheat field, Cottweiler’s fall collection took as its jumping off point “a post-civilization environment where everyone is starting again,” according to Ben Cottrell, who designs the brand with Matthew Dainty.
Employing both organic and technical fabrics in an earthy palette, the duo encased knits and tapered pants in natural fibers with macs and waders made of tinted cellophane to evoke a greenhouse roof, said Cottrell. Such functionality was also reflected in waterproof shearling jackets and a trenchcoat with lots of hidden pockets.
