Although Paula Gerbase launched her 1205 line with men’s wear, she took a break from showing for the past few seasons in order to focus on her women’s wear collections.
Her comeback featured outerwear as the highlight, with shearlings that looked to the duffle coat in silhouette in gorgeous muted shades of navy and olive, or with the luxurious wool outside.
Some coats featured subtle detailing, with little embroideries of numbers on collars and cuffs marking the times the clothing patterns were finished, “celebrating those little moments that we have that nobody gets to see,” Gerbase said.
Layering was also much in evidence, with quilted vests put under abbreviated shirt jackets or cropped versions atop more elongated tailoring. Fabrics included tweeds, wool felts, technical nylons and a waterproof waffle weave cotton.
