The elite craftsmanship was impressive, with shearling tufts tracing sweater seams, actual corduroy patchworked into eye-catching sport jackets, and spiky fur built into coat hoods for a Mohawk effect.
The deluge of luxurious textures and accessories was at times overwhelming — mental addition running quickly into the five figures to account for impossibly intricate shearling coats, fur scarves and crocodile peekaboo bags.

Thankfully, Fendi occasionally lightened the mood with plainer numbers — a suede trench, a tweed suit — and humorous touches, including an intarsia fur jacket made to resemble one of its monster-faced Bag Bugs and a backpack with a pouch big enough to hold a soccer ball — and it did.
