Jeanne Friot has come a long way from having models dancing tirelessly in the basement of Palais de Tokyo in 2022 to putting out a mesmerizing performance together with choreographer Maud Le Pladec featuring dancers of the Ballet de Lorraine for her fall 2026 presentation at Théâtre du Rond-Point on the Champs-Élysées, which was met with a standing ovation.
Not only is she getting better at utilizing body language to convey positive emotions and advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, but there was a lot more on offer with the fashion.
Going beyond the nightlife-ready slogan T-shirts, sheer tops and tartan skirts, she showed intricate designs like a skintight dress with hand-embroidered sequins, jeans with flowy ostrich feathers, a blurry checkered coat, and an elevated version of Friot’s signature belt dress reworked with couture-level techniques.

“It’s made with satin, and the base is a corset. Every belt is made and patterned during the fitting on the model. It’s a crazy construction. We spent three months on every piece. It’s really cool to see the inside,” she said during a preview backstage.
The opening looks were based on the garments from the wardrobe of her grandmother Micheline, who passed away recently. “I reworked them with my DNA. We have this new suit with the little belt on the side and big shoulders in both black and white,” added Friot.
The designer said that she has been getting requests from people of all ages following her Paris Olympic Games fame.
“I have a lot of people in their 50s or 60s coming and buying stuff that I couldn’t really imagine myself [doing before]. I feel like I need to accommodate and extend our community. That’s what I’m trying to do, going stronger and stronger, and being OK with myself spending a lot of time and doing some couture things at our atelier,” she continued.
