Urbanwear met tailored chic as creative director Rodolfo Paglialunga gave his Jil Sander Navy customer a lesson in layering. Chunky knits were styled over crisp shirts and skirts were worn atop trousers — and at times, knits were layered under skirts, too.
Inspired by artists Andy Warhol and Patrick Heron, Paglialunga incorporated playfully abstract prints in quirky knit sweaters and voluminous skirts, and accessorized beautiful tailored coats with oversize belts to accentuate the waist. In doing so, he created the perfect uniform for power dressing in a cool, young way.
