Luisa Beccaria and her daughter Lucilla combined the intimacy of leisurewear with the grandeur of historical costumes in their fall collection, which ran the gamut from robe jackets and coats to sweeping corseted gowns.
Drawing inspiration from European artists of the 18th and 19th centuries, they softened the waist-centric looks with plush textures including tweed, wool and acres of velvet. The latter was whipped up into everything from a dusty pink dressing gown to a floor-length cream hooded cape.
Taffeta and lurex lent an iridescent sheen to the regal palette, which ranged from saturated blues and greens to powdery pastel shades. Single-pearl chokers added to the aristocratic allure.
