The voluminous, cocooning silhouettes in Edeline Lee’s lineup were inspired by a “yearning for simplicity — everything cleaner, simpler, more pure,” said the designers on the sidelines of her presentation.
Blanketlike coats were done in wool bouclé while a cute, oversize smock dress came in a cream wool crepe. Floral motifs added to the untarnished, innocent mood. Tiny wild flowers were woven into a long, jacquard dress, while bold, fringed flowers came embroidered onto a crepe dress with a deep V-neck.
Lee posed her models amid piles of shredded paper created by the artist Kyung Roh Bannwart. Lee said the set was created to evoke “a frozen landscape of mountains,” and her models all wore hiking boots with their dresses to tackle that tough terrain.
