Despite its peaceful feel, Samuel Drira’s debut collection for the Bratislava, Slovakia-based label was anything but boring. Luxurious raw fabrics were worked into soft yet architectural shapes in a play on volume, curves and texture. The result was a lineup of loose, layered silhouettes in a minimalist palette of mainly cream, camel and beige. Textured details — pleated silk bodices, heavy jacquards and wide-topped pants knotted at the waist — accentuated the subtle beauty of Drira’s first offering.
