Courrèges stayed faithful to the sporty chic spirit of its founder with streamlined outfits for the woman on the go. The fall collection offered up by the house’s design team included two-tone zip-up jackets with iridescent leather elbow patches and trim. Funnel-necked coats featured oversize patch pockets in wrinkled patent leather. The A-line dresses, including one in cream wool sprouting little tufts, were stylish and practical. For the first time since the label was acquired by Jacques Bungert and Frédéric Torloting in 2011, the lineup was shown on models in a series of intimate shows held in its headquarters on Rue François 1er. Some of the looks had already been sold directly to consumers at a trunk show held at Suite 1521 in New York, and Courrèges will merchandise items in its own stores as they become available.
