Design duo Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor were back in familiar territory, showing a lineup of deconstructed outfits with a Dickensian feel. Cropped jackets curved away dramatically in the back, while shirts twisted around the body in giant whipped-cream folds. Meanwhile, crisp white collars peeked out from underneath heavily cinched jackets and coats in multiple layers of fabric ranging from checked or pin-striped wool to silvery brocade.
As exercises in sculpting with material, these outfits were fascinating. As actual clothes, less so. Many of them looked like they would require help to put on, which in the 21st century is no longer an option.
