Mara Hoffman got philosophical about our planet (and others) for fall, opening her show with the theme song to “Star Wars” as a prelude to Tatooine-inspired looks: a crème tweed cross-fronted jumpsuit and an apron dress version worn over a white turtleneck. Colorful printed geometrics, which she has become known for, also made an appearance, most memorably on a chiffon maxi shirtdress. And of course, it’s not a “Star Wars” theme if there’s no Princess Leia; interpretations of her coiled braids were the perfect complement to Hoffman’s “study of civilization and wilderness.”
