Showing for the first time during Milan Fashion Week, Kiton — which launched its women’s collection in 2005 — presented at its headquarters in the city’s Brera district. “We focused on colors and men’s fabrics cut into feminine silhouettes,” said Maria Giovanna Paone, head of the brand’s women’s design team.
Kiton’s tailoring heritage resulted in a lineup filled with suits, separates and outerwear with a Seventies feel. These included a mohair trenchcoat worked in a fresh mint, white and black checkered pattern, paired with matching flared pants, as well as an emerald velvet tuxedo with silk satin lapels.
The classically styled lineup also featured a sophisticated blue-green and lime double-faced cashmere wrap coat, as well as cute micro-floral cotton shirts that added a fresh touch.
