Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede’s Grace MMXIII label has expanded its design vocabulary for fall, with jewel-toned colors and constructed shapes appearing amid the label’s signature little black dresses.
“Our ambition is to give a lot of design for your money — we’ve gone much more three-dimensional,” said Torstensson, who founded the Saturday Group fashion marketing firm together with Grede. That said, there was still an easiness to the pieces, as in a toga-like minidress in Champagne colored silk satin, which draped and folded around the body, or a one-shouldered calf-length dress in white cady crepe, with folds of fabric spilling from the waist. The duo also channeled a more dramatic mood at times, with looks such as a fluid, halter-neck silk satin maxi dress in deep fuchsia.
