Only the sexy bride need apply at Inbal Dror. Sultry — and in some cases, barely there — gowns are the name of the game for the Israeli designer, who nevertheless cited a men’s wear influence for her fall bridal lineup. Silhouettes, done in traditional ivory and blush tones, were cut close to the body in diaphanous organza and tulle. A few short dresses with plenty of flounce stood out for their youthful charm. Dror’s other eveningwear, all tight and sheer with beaded embellishments, will look right at home on any pop diva. But several dresses, including the bridal looks, could have benefited from a little mystery. Choosing between a plunging neckline and an impossibly high slit — and perhaps not implementing both at once — might have had a chicer impact.
