Carolina Herrera aimed to channel a feeling of calmness and serenity in her fall bridal collection, rendering her gowns with transparency, illusion and fluidity to evoke a soft sensuality. She worked feminine detailing such as sheer pleating, scalloped necklines and guipure lace appliqués into the gorgeous lineup of mostly V-neck styles — which Herrera finds most universally flattering — with the décolletage and neckline as the focal point of each gown. Elsewhere, a racer-back crop top and skirt look had a uniquely sporty, modern feel. The single strapless look, a ballgown with a green-and-pink hand-painted floral bodice, featured a voluminous skirt with varying layers of frothy tulle.
