Got flesh? Nipples? Underboob? Want to show them off, not necessarily on the beach? Well, then, you’re halfway to dressing like a Di Petsa gal, where semi-nudes take center stage and actual clothing plays a supporting role.
Dimitra Petsa, known for her racy “wet look” designs, staged her sultry show in the bar at the Apollo’s Muse bar in Bacchanalia, a restaurant on Mount Street.
Filled with classical sculptures and friezes, and covered in marble, the windowless bar had a mausoleum-like feel, although the models – and the boxes of Ples’Jour silicone lubricant placed on the front-row seats – certainly lightened the atmosphere.

This lineup was like the annual gathering of Harlequin Romance or Mills & Boon cover stars, with models dressed in saucy, off-the-shoulder minidresses, sheer black gowns that resembled negligees and cropped leather corset tops and HotPants slinking their way down the narrow catwalk and striking sultry poses.
It was an inexplicably long show, and should have reached a natural climax when a male model, his taut chest oiled and ready, stepped onto the catwalk wearing low-slung trousers and holding a bottle of lubricant.
But no, on it went, with flesh flashing everywhere, from barely-there gowns cut extra high on the leg, to cropped jackets that revealed flashes, and dresses with peek-a-boo slashes and cutouts.
Unfortunately, the steamy looks grabbed most of the attention, obscuring the lovelier ones in the show, including a lineup of gossamer tulle dresses with high collars, fitted bodices and long trains; delicately draped and wrapped goddess gowns, and curvy knit dresses, all designed for more demure customers who prefer mystery over romance.
