Yonathan Carmel trusts his gut feeling when it comes to deciding which way a piece should go. For fall 2025, he continued to deconstruct and rework archival items, extending their life span with dramatic shapes and a badass attitude.
The Vautrait woman seemed unpredictable, or in Carmel’s words, a spy with a suitcase packed with mysteries. Carmel delivered some convincing leather recreations, especially the one Suzi de Givenchy wore — an elongated leather blouson with an extra-long ribbed hem. The designer was good at layering, too, and brought ’80s power dressing back for the TikTok kids.
