Oliver Peoples collaborated with Wes Anderson on his new film “The Phoenician Scheme,” providing Oscar-winning actor Benicio del Toro with sunglasses in his role as the film’s protagonist, Zsa-Zsa Korda. The sunglasses were commissioned by Anderson for the film.
The Los Angeles-based luxury eyewear brand‘s sunglasses were hand-made in Italy. The design features a bold, upswept sunglass in a dark mahogany shade with true brown lenses, paired with universal-fitting nose pads.
Only 10 iterations of this sunglass style were made. Those pairs will be available for sale at select Oliver Peoples New York boutiques. Each pair of the Oliver Peoples x Wes Anderson’s “The Phoenician Shcheme” sunglasses features a unique number count alongside temple stamping that includes “Anderson/del Toro” and the film’s logo.
