The holiday season is about friends and family, gifting and giving, so Charlotte Tilbury blended it all together for her namesake beauty brand’s new collection and campaign.
Tilbury enlisted Sir Elton John, her friend of more than 20 years, to appear in a holiday campaign that also features her nieces Sofia and Bella Tilbury, and the brand’s muses Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Rina Sawayama.
Tilbury bottled the music legend’s rock star energy in the new Rock Lips Lipsticks — Rocket Girl in nude-pink and Ready for Lust in deep, berry red. Both matte shades are formulated with oils, waxes and vitamin E. The lipsticks, which come in star-embellished tubes, will retail from Thursday for $38 on charlottetilbury.com. Channeling John’s disco-glamour is the Rock Star Bag, which is aptly embellished with sparkling stars. It will release on Thursday and retail for $64.

Tilbury is celebrating John as both an artist and philanthropist. The brand will participate as the official founding beauty partner of The Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Rocket Fund, which is dedicated toward ending stigmatization and increasing access to healthcare services worldwide for people living with HIV and AIDS.
“Elton has been a huge inspiration to me my entire life,” Tilbury exclusively told WWD. “He is a national treasure, the ultimate renaissance man, a polymath, a musical genius adored by generations, a true creative, champion of the arts and, of course, a fashion icon.”
In the accompanying campaign, Tilbury poses alongside John and Moss with products from the holiday collection. The beauty entrepreneur recalled having a “magical night” last year at John’s Vicarage Road final show that inspired her to partner with the icon.
“I remember being so mesmerized backstage,” Tilbury said. “Elton was pretty much singing ‘Tiny Dancer’ directly to Kate Moss. I remember seeing the sunglasses, the sparkle, the joy — and that’s when it became crystal clear to me that we had to join forces and create the most magical campaign of the year. Just like makeup, music has the power to change your frequency. It can morph your mood, change your mindset and bring joy into people’s lives.”
Some of the other products releasing on Thursday include the Beautyverse Palette, the brand’s first nine-pan palette featuring shimmering and neutral shades ($75); the Magic Skin Duo, which includes full sizes of Magic Serum and Magic Cream ($105), and Charlotte’s Lucky Chest of Beauty Stars, a 12-piece Advent calendar collection ($210).
