The Venice Film Festival 2025 will premiere several highly anticipated films from world-renowned directors and star-studded casts.
Among the most awaited are “After the Hunt” by Luca Guadagnino, a thriller about college professors caught in a cancel culture scandal starring Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield; “Marc by Sofia” by Sofia Coppola, her first documentary chronicling the life and work of fashion icon Marc Jacobs; “Frankenstein” from Guillermo del Toro, a gothic adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic featuring Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi; “Bugonia” by Yorgos Lanthimos, a dark sci-fi comedy starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons; and “The Smashing Machine” directed by Benny Safdie, a gritty biopic centered on MMA legend Mark Kerr with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.
