Teyana Taylor took Schiaparelli‘s sartorial illusions to a new level on the Time Women of the Year Gala red carpet in West Hollywood, Calif., on Tuesday night.
The Oscar-nominated “One Battle After Another” star turned to the French luxury fashion house’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection runway for her attire. The look was an amalgamation of several statement elements, from a sleek velvety skirt with a feathery hem to a breastplate bodice.
Starting from the bodice, Taylor’s Schiaparelli dress featured sheer black straps hidden beneath the deep brown breast plate with an exaggerated crumb catcher neckline floating away from the multihyphenate talent’s frame.

The look included a cinched waist with a slim black belt detail for definition, which framed a shimmering jewel-encrusted plate just beneath the waist. From there, the dress flowed into a black column skirt with a bevy of plumage at the hem. Taylor added black heels and statement earrings to complete her look. The actress has previously worked with styling duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald on her red carpet attire throughout 2025 and 2026.
Curated by creative director Daniel Roseberry, Schiaparelli’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection made its runway debut as part of the most recent Paris Fashion Week. The presentation captured designs that ultimately rendered “a collection that was all about the power of illusion,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review.
Throughout the collection, Roseberry “explored the power of clothing to transform its wearer into a warrior, if only on the cocktail circuit. Among his feral accessories were handbags sprouting gilded bird claws, and mule heels that looked like hissing kittens, rendered in resin and felt — to scarily realistic effect,” Diderich wrote.
Held at The West Hollywood Edition, the Time 2026 Women of the Year Gala honored innovators in business and entertainment, among other disciplines, for their contributions to the culture. Along with Taylor, distinguished attendees included Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lucy Liu and Mariska Hargitay. Singer Brandi Carlile performed at the event.
