Teyana Taylor brought her boundary-pushing style to Sunday night’s 2026 Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles at the at Dolby Theatre, wearing a showgirl-inspired Chanel gown. The Actress in a Supporting Role nominee opted for a creation from Matthieu Blazy’s new era at the house, going for a classic black-and-white color palette.
The dress featured a formfitting sheer bodice with spaghetti straps and a square neckline. The top led into a long feathered skirt with a blend of white and black details throughout that was completed by a dramatically long train.

Taylor, who often works directly with the brand or collaborates with styling team Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald for red carpet appearances, has curated a wardrobe full of idiosyncratic designs. The actress has worn custom pieces by Schiaparelli, Thom Browne and Burberry to the Golden Globes, the Actor Awards and the BAFTAs, respectively.
With every look, Bannerman and McDonald have found designs that heighten artistry and idiosyncrasy in equal measure, acknowledging how Taylor’s fashion sense “is completely unapologetic,” said Jordyn Woods, founder of clothing brand Woods by Jordyn, adding, “that confidence comes through in every look.”
Taylor’s supporting performance as Perfidia Beverly Hills in the Best Picture-nominated film “One Battle After Another” earned the actress her first Academy Award nomination. In January, Taylor won the Golden Globe award in the supporting actress category.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien, who returns for a second consecutive year as master of ceremonies, the awards show takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. “Sinners” leads the night’s nominations, with a record-setting 16 nods including Best Picture. The 2026 Oscars air Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET on ABC and Hulu.
