Teyana Taylor brought her signature fiery energy in a high-contrast Chanel look to the 2025 Gotham Awards on Monday night in New York City.
Wearing a look curated by styling team Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, the “One Battle After Another” actress wore a look courtesy of the French luxury fashion house’s spring 2026 collection.
Taylor’s look consisted for a short-sleeve, boxy blouse with a glossy fabric, which she tucked into a high-waisted skirt with a red and black belt at the waist for added silhouette definition. The actress’ skirt, arguably the centerpiece of her attire, featured a bevy of hot red plumage, volume and flowing fabric revealing her white and black toe Chanel heels.

Curated by creative director Matthieu Blazy, who joined the maison in December 2024, Chanel’s spring 2026 collection featured fresh takes on the French luxury fashion house’s heritage and founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. “I was interested in the revolution she brought, and there was no way back,” Blazy said of the collection, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week in October.
“She decided for herself what she could be, and she could be both faces of the same coin.” Inspired by Chanel’s archive but given a fresh spin, Blazy set his own course for the French luxury fashion house. “By reaching for the stars, the designer just set Chanel on a new orbit,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
