Serena Williams let her hair down for a night out in New York City on Wednesday to celebrate the launch of the new NikeSkims collaboration — in which she stars as one of the faces of the campaign — scheduled to release on Friday. The 43-year-old former tennis player was spotted with long, golden-blond hair outside the Nike House of Innovation before heading in to join Skims founder Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
Forgoing her usual twisted updo, Williams styled her hair in loose curls, cascading down the front of her body; her ends finished just below her chest. The vibrant coloring was cut in by a dark brown shade at her roots. Williams has been working with celebrity hair artist Angela Meadows as well as global hair stylist LaTisha Simone Chong; however, it’s not confirmed that either was behind her drawn-out waves on Wednesday.

The makeup was similar to the high glam Williams has donned before, comprised of a bright undereye, bronze and mauve shadow across her crease, faux lashes, warm-toned contour under her cheekbones, an earthy brown lip liner and nude lipstick. The former athlete often collaborates with makeup artists Pauline Briscoe and Natasha Gross.
Inside the Nike House of Innovation, Williams posed alongside Teyana Taylor. Meanwhile, Gayle King, Travis Scott, Martha Stewart and June Ambrose were photographed heading inside.
Earlier Wednesday morning, the Kardashian clad — Kim, Khloé and Kris — arrived to the New York Public Library in Bryant Park to watch a synchronized performance presentation titled “Bodies at Work,” featuring pieces from the forthcoming collection in a kaleidoscope of brown. Models filed out of the library and onto the steps of the landmark wearing matching leggings, sports bras, biker shorts, crew socks and sneakers as if they were headed out to exercise.
Kim and Khloé Kardashian and Jenner opted for all-black garments, shielding their eyes under wrap sunglasses as they watched from a few feet away. At the end of the performance, set to a serene backtrack, the three women ascended the steps to pose for a photo.
