Sarah Michelle Gellar channeled her horror movie persona in a black Dolce & Gabbana ensemble for a New York City screening of “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” on Wednesday night.
The “I Know What You Did Last Summer” alum wore a high-waisted black skirt, long-sleeve shrug and lacy bralette top from the Italian luxury fashion label. Gellar used the bralette to style the popular bra layering trend, which saw a major resurgence on the red carpet in 2024 thanks to Kristen Stewart, Katie Holmes and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, among other celebrities.
The bralette was also a strikingly similar design to a style worn by Demi Lovato at a Nylon party in October 2025. The entire look, curated by stylist Tara Swennen, was wholly evocative of dark glamour elements and ideal occasion dressing for the horror movie screening.

Gellar continued the dark style motif with black heels and opted for minimal jewelry pieces, including delicate earrings and rings. As for glam, the actress’ blond hair was styled with soft barrel curls that cascaded down her shoulders. Makeup highlights included bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy pink lip to boot.
A major star from the ’90s to today, Gellar’s been a style star for years — and her influence on trends persists. While out in New York City on Monday night, for example, Gellar channeled the ’90s in a quintessential shoe style with a fresh twist.
The actress sported heeled platform penny loafers, featuring the classic penny shape, with a strap across the vamp, apron stitching and a rounded square toe. The front of the shoe sat on a thick platform, while a tall block heel gave the silhouette additional lift.
“Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” is the sequel to the 2019 slasher horror “Ready or Not.” The film stars Samara Weaving as Grace, who finds herself, and her estranged sister, played by Kathryn Newton, the target of another murder spree after surviving a brutal, ritualistic near-death experience from the first film. “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” hits theaters Friday.
