Queen Latifah dove face-first into aquatic-colored makeup at the opening night premiere of “Giant” during the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday. Flanked by her Hollywood peers — Dakota Johnson, Jessica Alba and Kirsten Dunst, to name a few — the 55-year-old “Last Holiday” actress posed in a baby blue gown with fringe kissing the trim around her billowing sleeves and dainty beading crawling across the satin fabric.
With her medium brown hair slicked in a soft pretzel bun on the crown of her head, her underwater makeup aesthetic took center stage. Queen Latifah, born Dana Elaine Owens, touted a dazzling turquoise shadow across her lids and a frosty pink blush on the apples of her cheeks. The vibrant, green-tinged hue of her eyes complemented her fashion. Her lips, on the other hand, were pared-back, coated in a clear gloss next to a faint layer of rose-taupe liner.

In 2022, Queen Latifah rejoined the CoverGirl family after having served as a partner and the face of the Queen Collection for 10-plus years, starting in 2006. Her return to the Coty Inc.-owned beauty juggernaut was a strategic growth move on the parent company’s part. In a statement given to WWD at the time, Queen Latifah expressed her plans “to bring inclusivity to the forefront every step of the way, from product creation to ad development to product dissemination” in this new era.
