Padma Lakshmi made a sharp arrival at the 2023 Clinton Global Initiative on Tuesday in New York City, wearing a power suit by Alexander McQueen. Lakshmi donned a wool blazer with shining pinstripes throughout and a coordinating pair of capri-fit trousers. The star completed her look with a white blouse underneath and black booties.
The model, activist and host joined the conference to talk about food shortages and other worldwide crises. She also posed for a picture with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“Today we spoke about hunger, food shortages and how all children deserve to start on equal footing around the world,” Lakshmi wrote on Instagram after the event. “This bountiful world we share is threatened by climate change and war. We owe the coming generations a world better than we found it.”
When it comes to her outfits, Lakshmi usually works with stylist Mindy Saad.
Lakshmi last delivered a glamorous red carpet-ready look at the Christian Siriano spring 2024 runway show in September, where she took the plunge in a strapless mermaid-style gown. The high-profile event during New York Fashion Week also drew Avril Lavigne, Kesha, Laverne Cox, Quinta Brunson and Sarah Hyland as guests.
Lakshmi is also the host of the Hulu food documentary series “Taste The Nation,” which sees her traveling across the world trying different cuisines.
The Clinton Global Initiative 2023 meeting gathered global leaders for multiple discussions about climate change, world hunger and other issues. Created by former President Bill Clinton, this year’s event also featured conversations with Orlando Bloom and Dwyane Wade.
