Nicole Kidman gave businesswear a contemporary twist for The Hollywood Reporter‘s 2024 Women in Entertainment breakfast gala. The annual event, presented by Lifetime, took place on Wednesday in Los Angeles. Kidman was honored with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, which recognizes trailblazers and philanthropists in entertainment and media.
The actress wore a dress from Shushu/Tong‘s fall 2023 collection that evoked the office siren trend, which draws inspiration from classic office attire, giving tailored pieces a distinct edge. The trend has become popular on TikTok in recent months, as WWD previously reported.
Kidman’s dress can also be seen as a nod to her character in “Babygirl,” where she plays a high-powered CEO. The actress has just started the press tour for her new film, for which she recently received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Performance at the Gotham Independent Film Awards. During the award ceremony on Monday, she walked the red carpet in a vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress with floral print all over.
