Kate Middleton recreated a look she first styled in May for The Order of the Garter Service in Windsor on Monday. The event was held only two days after Trooping the Colour, which the Princess of Wales attended alongside members of the British royal family.
Known for restyling and rewearing pieces from her royal wardrobe, Middleton wore the same look she styled for a concert celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on May 8. The look was comprised of a tailored bouclé and chiffon midi dress in cream courtesy of Self-Portrait.
The dress featured equal measures of suited inspiration, thanks to a blazer-style bodice with long sleeves, sharp lapels and a belted waist, and a whimsical style courtesy of the flowing midi skirt with lace trim. The Princess of Wales opted for neutral Gianvito Rossi suede pumps.

As for accessories, Middleton even chose the exact same jewelry pieces from May’s VE Day concert. She wore a five-strand faux pearl necklace and vintage faux pearl earrings courtesy of Susan Caplan. While royal rewears are a key quality of Kate Middleton’s wardrobe, the 2025 Order of the Garter Service on Monday may signify one of the quickest rewears from the Princess of Wales. On other occasions, Middleton has gone years before rewearing a piece from her wardrobe.
Among the styles Middleton often recreates, pieces from Jenny Packham, Zara, Roland Mouret and more are among her most frequently reworn pieces. With the case of her Alexander McQueen dress from the 2019 BAFTA Awards, Middleton went on to retool the dress with added fabric, new jewelry pieces and black opera gloves when she wore the dress again for the 2023 ceremony.
The Princess of Wales is not the only royal who appreciates quality pieces and rewearing certain styles. Queen Camilla often rewears pieces by Fiona Clare and Anna Valentine, while Queen Letizia of Spain also rewears looks by Mango and more.
