Kacey Musgraves brought American Western-style sensibility to the red carpet of the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. The country singer and Grammy Award winner is nominated for four awards at the 2025 ceremony.
For the occasion, Musgraves opted for an American designer and turned to the runway for inspiration. The “Deeper Well” singer wore a look courtesy of Ralph Lauren’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The look featured a white bodice that resembled a tank top.
The high-waisted skirt, which matched Musgraves’s look, made up for the crisp white tank with plenty of sparkle. The skirt featured a bevy of tassels and fringe elements set against a shimmering skirt in shades of dusty orange mixed with subdued silver. She accessorized the look with earrings by Keri Ataumbi, a Kiowa artist also known for paintings and sculptures.

The look yielded to a defined silhouette, thanks to the cinched figure provided by the belt at Musgraves’ waist. Musgraves’ makeup featured a smokey eye, bold brow and matte lip provided by artist Maoni Lee. Her raven black hair was styled with a sleek, flowing look by Giovanni Delgado. Musgraves’ 2025 Grammy Awards ensemble was curated by stylist Maddie Louviere Morgan.
Musgraves’ look made its runway debut during New York Fashion Week in September 2024. The collection was inspired by the “designer’s history of visiting the Hamptons with his family since the 1970s and his evolving brand story,” per Booth Moore’s WWD review of the collection.
“From the most adorable kids on the runway right out of central casting to two icons closing the show who have a decades-long history with the brand, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington, this was Lauren firing on all cylinders, selling sunny optimism and a feel-good factor that few if any designers working today can match,” Moore wrote.
The 67th Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, celebrated the best in music while also raising funds for wildfire relief efforts in California and honoring first responders.
