Selena Gomez kicked off the inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit gala in Los Angeles on Wednesday, with many celebrities and influencers in attendance to support the cause.
Gomez founded the organization in 2020 as part of her commitment to addressing mental health and acceptance. Her makeup brand, Rare Beauty, contributes 1 percent of sales directly to the Rare Impact Fund, which also collects donations from corporate partners and individuals.
All tickets for the inaugural gala went toward the Rare Impact Fund, and the gala included a seated dinner, drinks, an auction and a performance from H.E.R. Gomez’s “Only Murders in the Building” costar Martin Short served as the emcee for the evening, and auction items included Taylor Swift tickets and a movie night with Paul Rudd.
