Halle Bailey joined iconic singer Smokey Robinson as cohost for NBC’s “A Motown Christmas,” airing on Wednesday. “The Little Mermaid” star styled holiday-inspired looks for the special, featuring jewel tones, glittering dresses and more.
For the NBC special, Bailey’s wardrobe consisted of three distinct looks, each of which was evocative of the hues of the holiday season. Among the dresses was a regal red gown, which featured off-the-shoulder strap and a voluminous skirt.
The gown included elements of fabric draping, along with a high-low skirt for an added contemporary edge. Opting to keep the gown the centerpiece of her attire, Bailey accessorized her look with shimmering silver statement earrings.

The sleeveless dress featured a high neckline and allover sequins, which faded down the skirt. The look was evocative of the classic stylings of glamorous Motown girl groups from the 1960s.
A third look worn by Bailey served to also complement Robinson’s attire. The singer and actress wore a strapless deep green gown with allover sequins and shimmering elements. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline with a thigh-high slit.
Bailey’s accessories also complemented the dress. The singer wore a pair of emerald statement earrings to coordinate the look. Robinson also sported an emerald hue, wearing a monochrome suit with a silk, button-down shirt and red pocket square for his attire.
