Jessica Chastain Goes Backless in White Gucci Dress at the Gotham Awards 2024

Jessica Chastain joined a bevy of A-list celebrities and stars on the red carpet of the 2024 Gotham Awards on Monday in New York City.

For the special occasion, the Oscar winner wore a backless white dress courtesy of Gucci by creative director Sabato De Sarno. The look featured a jersey-style fabric and A-line silhouette, with a completely backless element. The sleeveless dress included a halter neckline with a metallic gold embellishment.

Chastain accessorized her look with jewelry by Damiani, including delicate rings and bracelets. Chastain’s hair was styled by Ryan Trygstad with makeup courtesy of Hung Vanngo.

While Chastain has previously worn looks courtesy of the Italian luxury fashion house, she’s also starred in a few campaigns for the label, too. In October 2022, Chastain fronted the campaign for the campaign for the brand’s 25H watch. In June of 2022, the actress and producer also starred in the brand’s third Hortus Deliciarum jewelry collection, or Garden of Delights in Latin.

The year Chastain won her Best Actress in a Leading Role Oscar, in 2022, she wore a Gucci gown at the Academy Awards.

Chastain’s admiration for Gucci extends beyond her wardrobe and the campaigns in which she stars. The actress has also been seen in the front row of the label’s fashion shows, particularly the spring 2023 show in Milan.

The 2024 Gotham Awards honored the best films and performances of the year, including “Nickel Boys,” “A Different Man” and “Sing Sing.”
