1994
Paltrow made her Oscars debut at 21 years old in 1994. For the red carpet, where she was joined by filmmaker and writer James Ivory, Paltrow wore a strapless, liquid satin column dress with coordinated gray heels. She accessorized the look with a four-strand pearl choker.

Paltrow returned to the Oscars red carpet two years later in a shimmering slipdress with a plunging neckline and a semi-sheer wrap.
1999
1999 was a major year for Paltrow, who went on to win the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in “Shakespeare in Love.” At the Academy Awards, Paltrow wore a cotton candy pink taffeta dress designed by Ralph Lauren. The actress accessorized the look with borrowed jewelry pieces designed by Harry Winston, which Paltrow’s father reportedly later purchased for the actress.

Paltrow went strapless in a Stella McCartney gown for the 2005 Oscars. The dress was designed with a corseted bodice and drop waist with a billowing skirt.
2007
Zac Posen provided Paltrow with this peach-tone gown for the 79th Academy Awards. The dress included structured details and a small flowing train to boot.
2011
Paltrow shimmered on the Oscars red carpet in a Calvin Klein Collection gown with a side thigh-high slit and a plunging neckline. She coordinated the dress with Louis Vuitton jewelry and wore Brian Atwood shoes to complete the ensemble.
2012
Paltrow opted for a futuristic white Tom Ford gown, Anna Hu jewelry and Jimmy Choo shoes at the 2012 Oscars. The Tom Ford design featured a cape element that defined Paltrow’s shoulders.
