Elizabeth Taylor collected some impressive jewelry pieces over the course of her life. The late Oscar-winning actress, who died in 2011, owned a bevy of jewels from emeralds to diamonds, rubies and many more.
Now, pieces from the actress’ collection are up for auction as part of Julien’s Bold Luxury: The Limelight Edit auction, which will take place March 27 at the Peninsula Beverly Hills beginning at 10 a.m. PT.

Ruby, Diamond and Gold Necklace and Earring Set: Estimated Value $200,000 to $300,000
Taylor’s ruby, diamond and gold necklace and earring set features a circular-cut diamond with a marquise-cut ruby and a gold lion’s face. The lion’s face holds in its teeth a circular-cut diamond hoop. The necklace also features a four-strand ruby bead choker, joined by a circular-cut diamond and gold clasp. The earrings, featuring the same gold lion motif, feature detachable ruby tassels. The set’s value is estimated between $200,000 to $300,000.
Art Deco Emerald and Diamond Brooch: Estimated Value $100,000 to $200,000
The Art Deco emerald and diamond brooch dates back to roughly 1935. As described by Julien’s, the piece features a pavé-set scroll bordered with old mine-cut and European-cut diamonds and emeralds framed in an open-work of the scroll; each emerald varies in cut and size. The stones are mounted in platinum and gold. The brooch’s value is estimated between $100,000 and $200,000.
Gold and Diamond Evening Purse: Estimated Value $100,000 to $200,000
Taylor was seen with her gold and diamond evening purse in December 1964, when the actress and her then-husband, Richard Burton, attended the Lido premiere, which was a burlesque show, in Paris, per Julien’s. The handbag features a wedge-shaped design with a woven gold basket. The bag also features a diamond “Liz” plaque. The bag’s value is estimated between $100,000 and $200,000.
Diamond Brooch: Estimated Value $20,000 to $30,000
Malcolm Forbes gifted Taylor this glittering diamond brooch. The piece features pear-shaped diamond clusters and two scroll-like bands of baguette-cut diamonds. The brooch’s estimated value is between $20,000 and $30,000.
Theo Fennell Diamond and Gold Star of David Pendant: Estimated Value $20,000 to $30,000
Taylor’s diamond and gold Star of David pendant necklace was designed by Theo Fennell. Taylor converted to Judaism in 1959, following the death of her husband Michael Todd and upon her marriage to Eddie Fisher. The necklace is described by Julien’s as a detachable swivel pendant with circular-cut diamond and gold Star of David, which is mounted in 18-karat yellow and white gold. The pendant hangs on a rope-style chain. The necklace’s value is estimated between $20,000 and $30,000.
