Doechii reimagined the Roberto Cavalli late ’90s archive at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, wearing a custom gown by the Italian fashion house.
The Best Music Video winner brought the drama in a beaded high-low gown with an elongated tiered tail, which resembled Rihanna’s yellow cape at the 2015 Met Gala. Each tier, from her hips to the trim, was dusted in gold sparkles along the ruffled stitching. The silky fabric cinched at her waist as if she were holding it up herself, exposing the front of her bare legs. Meanwhile, the top of the dress consisted of a matching purple corset over a sheer orange tank with a cross tie down her chest. Her strappy sandals — a mix of gold, brown and orange — touted little tassels down the front, further embellishing the maximalist aesthetic.
On the red carpet, the artist said her fashion mission was to feel “goddess-like.” She said, “I’m in a different headspace, I have a new album coming, and I wanted a visual representation of where I’m now.”
