Dakota Fanning put a metallic spin on suiting at Chanel‘s fall 2025 fashion show in Paris on Tuesday. The actress sat front row alongside Jessica Alba, Tyla and Camila Cabello at the label’s latest presentation.
Fanning modeled a gold jacket featuring floral appliqués and matching cropped trousers from Chanel’s Métiers d’Art 2025 collection, which took inspiration from Chinese craftsmanship.
The “Ripley” star added on a pair of cap-toe platform heels and a gold chain necklace emblazoned with the brand’s interlocking “C” logo. A satin lantern-shaped version of Chanel’s signature quilted handbags topped off her look.

Fanning wore her blond tresses straightened, while her makeup consisted of winged eyeliner, rosy blush and a satin mauve lip.
Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art show incorporates the work of more than 100 artisans at the house’s specialist subsidiaries — including embroiderers, flower-makers, goldsmiths, pleaters, shoemakers, hatters, milliners, glove-makers and tanners.
The 2025 Métiers d’Art presentation, held in Hangzhou, China, is the second of its kind staged in the country. Late creative director Karl Lagerfeld used the neon-lit skyline of Shanghai for the brand’s pre-fall extravaganza in 2009.
Matthieu Blazy, Bottega Veneta’s creative director since 2021, announced his departure from the Italian label in December. He’ll now take the helm at Chanel, with his first show for the French fashion house slated for October.
“I am thrilled and honored to join the wonderful house of Chanel. I look forward to meeting all the teams and writing this new chapter together,” Blazy said in a statement provided to WWD.
