Chappell Roan is making the rounds at Paris Fashion Week. On Friday, the pop star sat front row at Matières Fécales’ fall 2025 runway show, wearing a theatrical look from the brand, whose name translates to Fecal Matter.
“I’m dressed for Fecal Matter, in Fecal Matter, of course,” she told WWD.
Styled by Genesis Webb, Roan wore a black textured dress with wide sleeves. The eye-catching detail of her outfit was a distinctive black feathered headpiece with tall, pointed elements extending upward from both sides of her head.

Makeup artist Andrew Dahling gave her a colorful, fairy-like beauty look that differed from her Gothic look. “We wanted to do kind of like a pastel nymph to contrast the darkness,” Roan said. Her hair was styled in long strands by hairstylist Dom Forletta.
Roan debuted at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday, sitting in the front row of Rabanne’s fall 2025 fashion show. She wore a metallic satin set and her signature drag queen-inspired makeup for the occasion. Later, she changed into a metallic Rick Owens Prong dress for the designer’s fall 2025 presentation, finishing her look with otherworldly makeup.
Matières Fécales, created by Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran, debuted at Paris Fashion Week with Rick Owens, Michèle Lamy, Daphne Guinness and Christian Louboutin in attendance.
“I’m so excited that this is their debut show and everyone is so excited for them,” Roan said.
WWD editor, international, Miles Socha described the collection as “alien-esque elegance.”
“Their slow-paced show, performed to live piano music, included a hairy shearling coat that brought to mind an albino Sasquatch; several all-black men’s looks with Grim Reaper vibes, and dramatic finale gowns sprouting giant angel wings made of cock feathers, one modeled by Dalton,” Socha wrote.
