Alexa Demie departed from her signature sharp eyeliner for a barefaced aesthetic at the “Euphoria” Season Three premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
The no makeup-makeup look toed the line of ’90s glam, with stone shadow in her creases and on her lids, curled lashes and no eyeliner, cool-toned contour and light blush. Yet, her lips boasted a modern interpretation — a rosy, over-lined aesthetic rather than a bold matte.
With a faint brown hue lining the edges, her lips also evoked the hyper-trendy “Nina Park effect,” modeled after the celebrity makeup artist’s trademark style. From Emma Stone to Margaret Qualley, Park used her warm contour trick on a host of A-listers this past awards season. That said, Park was not the glam visionary behind Demie’s minimal visage at the premiere on Tuesday. The “Mid90s” star has yet to credit the team who assisted her.

In the past, Demie’s worked with stylists Malaika Crawford, Ally Macrae and Farren Jean Andrea. But it’s been awhile since she last tagged the talent she tapped to get her ready for major shoots, red carpets and premieres.
In terms of fashion, the vintage, black-and-white V-line gown by Bob Mackie was certainly a far cry from the open-back snakeskin gown she sported at the Season One premiere in 2019. In fact, the full cast’s fashion on Tuesday night’s red carpet was worlds away from the aesthetic they presented seven years prior. Zendaya, specifically, went from wearing a white bandeau dress with heavy tulle to a black halterneck gown by Ashi Studio, while Sydney Sweeney went from donning a two-piece floral set to a white minidress with a cape by Pierre Cardin circa 2007.
As for the makeup in the show, the first two seasons saw artist Donni Davy color Demie’s eyes in loud colors (think lavender, pink and neon green) and avant garde designs. Davy, who returned to set for Season Three, has already been teasing a few of the looks fans can look forward to on Sweeney, Hunter Schafer and newcomer Rosalía, too.
Episode one of “Euphoria” Season Three will be available to stream on HBO on Sunday.
