Neapolitan neckwear manufacturer E. Marinella has expanded its offering of luxurious ties with the introduction of “Archivio.”
The new collection features silk styles printed with patterns from the company’s archives. The motifs, which were created between the Thirties and the Eighties, were stored in the U.K. by an undisclosed company, which has been providing E. Marinella with tie patterns since 1914.
“I was moved when I found this hidden treasure, tangible proof of our long-standing tradition,” said Maurizio Marinella, E. Marinella chief executive officer. “It came natural to decide to use these patterns for a unique and exclusive collection, a must-have for fashion and vintage lovers. The tie becomes a symbol of the link between past and future.”
The ties, which can be customized, retail at $280 and are sold at E. Marinella flagships, from the historic boutique on Naples’ Riviera di Chiaia and the two shops in Milan to the international units in Lugano, Italy; London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
