Timberland’s New Limited-Edition 6-Inch Boot Collaboration Is Inspired by Nature

Snipes isn’t the only retailer releasing a limited-edition Timberland Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot on Thursday. Joining in on the limited-edition looks is Italian boutique One Block Down, which is set to release three versions of the iconic boot referencing a Timberland tagline. 

The One Block Down x Timberland Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot takes inspiration from natural elements for Earth, Sky and Water-themed colorways. The concept comes from Timberland’s “wind, water, earth and sky” apparel branding, omitting the wind reference for three distinct styles.

Each pair in the collection is constructed with premium pull-up leather, a material selected for its unique appearance. As the boots bend and flex with regular wear, the leather lightens at the crease points, resulting in a one-of-a-kind look that is unique to each wearer. According to One Block Down, these light, superficial scratches do not damage the leather, but instead give it character that will evolve with wear. 

For the color story, One Block Down took a literal approach, covering each pair in distinct shades that tie back to the tagline. The Italian retailer says the chalky blue Sky style “reimagines the celestial element, drawing on shades of blue that fade toward the horizon.” Meanwhile, the dusty brown Water pair “reflects the strength and dynamism of the aquatic element, reinterpreting warm, earthy tones that evoke sand, pebbles, and natural reflections on the riverbed.” And lastly, the collection’s orange Earth look “celebrates the strength and stability of the land, reimagining the iconic Timberland boot through materials and tones that recall its deep-rooted connection to origin and authenticity.”

One Block Down’s branding is subtly stamped throughout each boot, including logos at the top of the vamp, the back of the padded collar and above the Timberland tree on the lateral side. This is the second time the store has worked with Timberland following a studded version of the boot that was released in January. 

Beyond the material and branding updates, One Block Down’s latest interpretation of the shoe retains all of the signature details that make it such an iconic workhorse of a boot including its seam-sealed construction, anti-fatigue footbed and quadruple-stitched seams.
