Basketball. Golf. Commentary. Skateboarding? Two-time Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Charles Barkley has worn many hats throughout his illustrious career, but the “Inside the NBA” analyst has never been known his skate prowess. Yet according to new leaks, that discrepancy isn’t keeping Nike SB from giving one of Barkley’s most popular sneakers a board-ready upgrade in 2026.
Newly surfaced information from Sneaker Files indicates that a Nike SB x Nike Air Max2 CB 94 Low SP sneaker will be released during spring 2026. The new shoe is set to don a White/Varsity Red/White/Gum Light Brown colorway and although in-hand images aren’t yet available, a speculative mock-up of what the pair could look like appears below. Based on the colors listed, it’s possible that the look could resemble the friends and family exclusive version of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4. The upcoming Barkley revamp is expected to feature a predominantly white upper with red accenting and a gum rubber outsole.
Aside from its low-top distinction, details on specification changes from the original model haven’t been confirmed, but some of Nike SB’s other recent remixes may give an idea of what can be expected. The aforementioned Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, launched in March 2023, features a from-the-ground-up rebuild, which included a deconstructed upper with an improved fit, flexible plastic components and a grippier-than-usual outsole. Also on the horizon is a Nike SB x Nike Air Max 95, which uses an updated tread pattern and featured an additional toe mini Swoosh logo.
