LONDON — British cult streetwear label Palace is dropping its first collaboration with Nike on Friday, after having worked with Adidas for more than a decade.
The inaugural collaboration, P90, is positioned as a celebration of Palace’s skateboarding core, and more importantly, a tribute to the soccer culture of the early 2000s, especially the hype around Total90, a sneaker style originally released in that era that quickly became the go-to football shoe for an entire generation of younger players, including Wayne Rooney, who starred in the Palace x Nike campaign, shot by Alasdair McLellan in London.
In the campaign, he appeared alongside England women’s captain Leah Williamson and Chelsea’s Reece James, and a new generation of players, including Lenna Gunning-Williams and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. Palace team riders were also featured, as well as rapper, songwriter and grime pioneer Giggs.

“I was there when the T90 boot first came to life, even during its design stages. It was my favorite as a player, so being part of its evolution into the P90 was something I was genuinely proud to be a part of,” the soccer legend said.
The range comes with shell suits, jerseys and sneakers emblazoned with P90 graphics, as well as streetwear staples featuring Palace’s viral-ready tri-ferg logo with a layered Nike Swoosh.
Gareth Skewis, cofounder of Palace, said Nike has always been a brand he admired. “It felt like the right time to collaborate as there are so many synergies between our skate team and Nike,” he said.
Lev Tanju, cofounder and creative director of Palace, added that the Total 90 was something he loved growing up, as it was much more than a style for playing soccer; they’re great to skate in as well.
The collection will go on sale on Friday at all Palace retail locations worldwide and online. The new Palace x Nike P90 footwear will also be available via Nike’s Snkrs app across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
